Have you ever been over to a friends house where they have several different kinds of home theater components and they also have a remote control to manage all of them? Then, when they turn on the different home theater components they have to pick up a different remote controller each time. This is a long process that involves turning on and tuning in different home theater components so that you can watch TV or a movie. Well this used to be what my house was like; there were literally about five remote controls that each operated one of my home theater components. I finally decided – upon the advice of my brothers – to upgrade my remote control to a universal one that could allow me to operate all of my home theater components with one simple controller. Now, when you come over to my house you will only find one remote on my coffee table, and it is able to effectively allow me to control all of my home theater components. No more wasting batteries or time finding the right controller. I don’t think that I can ever go back to the five controller routine again!
