garmin gps

Labor Day weekend, my husband and I were out on the boat and we noticed that the skies were starting to get dark in a hurry, which meant that if we didn't want to get wet, we'd better head towards land. My husband set the Garmin GPS to get us back to our docking location and away we went. It seemed like the black clouds were chasing us, but we made it back to the dock just as the rains began to fall. My husband jumped out of the boat so he could get the truck and get the boat on the trailer before the lightening got to us, and when he jumped out, I heard a plop and the sound of my husband groaning. I knew he hadn't fallen in the water, but I had a sneaking suspicion that it was his truck keys that just took a dive to the bottom of the deep water. When I asked him what was wrong, he said the Garmin GPS just found its watery grave because as he jumped onto the dock, the Garmin GPS fell out of his pocket and into the water. Unfortunately, it didn't float, and the water was too deep for my husband to try to retrieve the Garmin GPS, so we loaded up the boat and headed home.

Since then, my husband has mentioned several times how he'd love to have a new Garmin GPS before boating season starts again next year. The Garmin GPS that we had really was able to help us out of some sticky situations on the water, where we would have probably otherwise been lost until someone came along and showed us the way. I can honestly say that I believe the Garmin GPS is a life saver. I decided to order my husband the Oregon 400i GPS that I found for a great price at Shopp Rite Mall whose online store can be found by visiting www.shoppritemall.com. I know that he really wants a Garmin GPS, and this one looks like it has all the bells and whistles that the other Garmin GPS had and then some. This is a much newer model than the one we had, so I know this Garmin GPS is going to function even better, which I know is going to make my husband happy. Now if we can make sure this one doesn't end up in the bottom of the river, we'll be able to enjoy it for years to come.
