Garmin GPS
Last week we were on the road trying to start our summer vacation. As usual we ended up lost. It was not a lot of fun spending about an hour trying to figure out where we were. There were too many roads with no signs or not on our map.
We finally found a small town and pulled into one of the dinners. One of the older gentlemen there was kind enough to give us directions. Then he recommended that we get ourselves a Garmin GPS instead of a map. He and his wife retired last year and have been traveling all over in their RV since then. He was telling us funny stories about how for the first few weeks they kept getting lost. They saw a little bit more of the country side then they planned. He said his wife picked up a Garmin GPS in self defense. She got tired of it taking three days for a one day trip. They have not gotten lost once since she picked up the Garmin GPS. I think a Garmin GPS unit is a good idea. I want to enjoy my vacation at my destination, not spend it trying to get there.
