home theater components, lcd hdtv There are all sorts of home theater components out there like satellite speakers, ceiling speakers, receivers, subs, LCD HDTVs, projectors, HDMI connections, central command remotes, etc. Out of all of these home theater components my favorite are subwoofers and surround sound. While a 1080p HDTV is awesome especially for sports and video games, you can’t feel the visual quality. Audio home theater components can make a room shake and turn a scary movie into a hair standing on the back of the neck experience. Not to mention how much better video games are when the subwoofer is rattling the pictures on the wall as the starting light for Forza Motorsports drops from Red to Yellow to Green and the virtual Corvettes drop from 5,000 RPM to tire shredding acceleration.

Coming in a close second for the best home theater components is HDMI cords. Without this connecting cord a LCD HDTV is just a bit better then a tube TV. I have a friend who has a LCD HDTV on the wall, with an Xbox 360 sitting next to it but no HDMI cords. It makes no sense to me when a HDMI cord cost 30 dollars. It’s like eating a deep dish pizza freezer cold when a microwave is sitting on the counter.
