My big brother is always going on about how he can put together all the home theater components needed to make a better home theater found in most stores. On top of that he could do it for a lot less then what the stores were charging for their home theaters. I finally put him to the test. I told him to ahead and find all the home theater components needed to make a home theater.

Wouldn’t you know it? He was right. He took me up on my challenge and said he could make one of his own. Then I had to find home theater components and create my own home theater. The one who could make the best one for the least amount of money won. The looser had to buy the other dinner. As soon as we agreed to the rules for finding the best home theater components my father started going on about how he was going to be enjoying the biggest steak and lobster dinner at the best restaurant in town, at my expense.

I did not think he was going to win that easily. I am pretty good with a keyboard. I like to think I am computer and internet savvy. The rule was that we sit at the kitchen table with our laptops for two hours. We would search online for the home theater components. At the end of the two hours we would compare our lists of home theater components and the prices. We could not use the same websites though.

My brother was done in a half hour. He went straight to a store called Shopp Rite Mall that is located at www.shoppritemall.com/. He quickly had his list of home theater components completed then sat back to enjoy his coffee as he watched me struggle to get my list completed in the two hours. He won, and I bought us the best steak and lobster dinner in town. Though, I think in the long run I was the winner. I ended up with all the home theater components I needed at a much larger savings than the cost of our dinner. I still cannot get over the deals he found. The savings on the Channel Plus 6-Source Multi-Room Music Distribution Kit #1 alone at Shopp Rite Mall covered the cost of dinner. I should make bets like that with my brother more often. It was fun and my husband was able to put together our great home theater system easily, with a little help from my brother, of coarse.
