Keeping All My Home Theater Components Hidden |

It really has something to do with keeping the room aesthetics clean. If you were to walk into my living room right now you would think that there was nothing there except for a few pieces of furniture and a few pieces of memorabilia. It is all by design.
When I started to buy new home theater components for my system I didn't want to have a bunch of different components sitting on shelves with wires everywhere. I wanted to find a way to keep the lines in the room clean and the home theater components hidden from view. An architect friend of mine came over one night and we spent hours going over options. I didn't buy any piece of the home theater components until we both decided on what we were going to do.
My architect friend came up with an idea, drew it out on a blueprint, and presented it to me. I thought it was great. His design would put all the speakers right into the wall, with a projector handling all the video. The other home theater components - Blu-Ray player, satellite box, and surround sound receiver, would also be built in, but in a piece of furniture near the sofa. It took about three weeks to complete everything. Some of this time was waiting for the home theater components to be delivered. I bought everything from a website called Shopp Rite Mall at www.shoppritemall.com. Once all the home theater components were delivered, my friend hired a contractor to start the construction.
In the end everything looked great. Even the VUTEC Lectric I RF Motorized Projection Screen that I ordered from Shopp Rite Mall looked incredible on a far wall. Whenever I want to watch anything, I just hit the remote and it falls into place. When I am done, it simply retracts into the housing. The only problem I had with this new set up is when I couldn't get any sound out of the speakers. I tried everything I could think of, but finally had to start thinking about something internal. I removed the cover that was hiding the speakers and removed the speaker from the hole in the wall. Come to find out the wire from the receiver to the speaker was not connected tightly and fell off. I fished it out, after three hours, with a long piece of wire and everything was fine. However, I sure hope nothing else goes wrong with my home theater components!
