I didn't think there would be much of a difference. When we bought our new LCD TV we placed it on a beautiful stand that my wife took days to find. The stand is also very convenient as it holds all the components of our home theater. I never thought of a TV wall mount that much because we didn't need it. One day I went to a friends house to watch a baseball game. He has his LCD on a TV wall mount where the top of the TV is about six feet off the ground.

Watching it is a whole different experience. You are naturally looking up and it gives your viewing a more movie theater like atmosphere. When I got home, I quickly ordered a TV wall mount online. My wife asked me why and I told her that she will be very surprised at how much of a difference it will make. When the TV wall mount came, my friend came over to help me put it up. My wife wasn't too sure until we turned it on that night to watch a movie together. She said it was completely different and that I did actually know what I was talking about.
