I chuckle the other day because I opened up the glove compartment in my car to add my updated insurance cards, and an old paper map of the state of Arizona fell out. I looked at the crumpled paper and then glanced over at my shiny Garmin GPS that is mounted on my dashboard, and I couldn’t help but laugh. It did make me think back to many times in the past – before I had a Garmin GPS in my car – where I would be pulled over to the side of the road pouring over a paper map trying to find out where I was, and where I was supposed to be going. For anybody that owns a Garmin GPS, I am sure that you can all agree with me: paper maps are old, annoying, hard to read and obsolete. These days, technology has made me spoiled so to speak. Seeing as my Garmin GPS provides a full color digital map that is updated daily, I never have to fret over paper maps again. Nor do I have to worry about directions either, as it provides easy to follow, turn-by-turn verbal directions.
